On February 28, 2010, I will join thousands of others throughout the Chicagoland area to raise funds for Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago ( RHAMC) and support their mission to promote healthy lungs and fight lung disease through research, advocacy and education. I have lost many members of my family to lung cancer: my Mom and Dad, my cousin Ed and Grandma Blaz. My hope is to raise awareness of lung disease and increase money for research so that less stigma will be attached to a lung cancer diagnosis and life expectancy will be lengthened. I will be climbing with my pal, Kim Lemar, who also lost her Mom to lung cancer. It is our hope to honor our loved ones through our Hustle Up the Hancock.
